Here are some members of the G3 Team:
My superhusband, Les.
Seen here in Portugal on our Habitat for Humanity build in December 2010. Not only is he adorable, but also brilliant and supportive and hilarious. He's been vegetarian (and sometimes vegan) for several years, and it is great to have his experience (and recipes!) on hand as I transition back to meat-free life. His compassionate heart and commitment to living by his values inspire me every day. I'm one lucky girl.
Sidekick, couch warmer, and blog editor-in-chief; Auggie.
I know that you cannot buy happiness, but if you are looking for a dramatic boost to your quality of life, adopting a shelter dog is hands-down the best thing I have ever paid money to do. He has his own blog at http://www.augsterhasablog.blogspot.com/. Check it out!
One of my dear besties, Jackie. I had the great fun and privilege of living with Jackie for a year before I married Les (this picture is from our wedding, in fact). She is the greenest person I know, and I have learned a ton from her. Her practical solutions and "Why didn't I think of that?" genius will be all over this blog. If you want to know if/how something can be recycled or composted (lotion bottle? egg shells?) ask Jackie.
Meet Jess (and Fred)! Jess is a dear friend from U of I who is the supermomma of two beguiling boys. She and her hubby live in the burbs where they have the square footage to house things like canning supplies and clothes lines. Jess makes a mind-boggling array of home made foods and has a wealth of knowledge about green family stuff. Organic mattresses? Compostable diapers? Back yard gardening? Jess is your girl.
